http://lessology.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/lessology-challenge-12-photo-block.html
Here is my entry for this challenge. I am not sure if it is really a photoblock but I used a birch lace card which I recently emptied, it had some old lace on it.
The photo is my Nana and great aunt in 1918 at the end fo the war and it is printed onto my home made paper. The buttons are all from Nana's cigar box she gave me years ago with these treasures inside.
The frame is cut from cricut fancy frames cartridge at 7 inches. I went out into the shed and found a sewing pattern I had not used for years so tore it up for the frill.
The metal trims are all from my stash but have been coloured with some stayzon brown.
Oh and the cream net bows are from new balls of wool....loving this wool!
Enjoy...I have enjoyed making it! I feel like I am learning more now but need to gain confidence and learn more techniques.

Such a beautiful piece of work especially filled with all those bits and pieces of your nanas and all those other bits that just make it. :)
Beautiful Robyn....I love the vintage look of your frame and that cluster of flowers and lace is so pretty.
You have done a great job Robyn. Love all the embellishments- so special as they belonged to your Nan. The frill around the frame is very clever.
Such a pretty project!
